  For the third incarnation of the Poise, nature was again the subject matter. Rather than focus on a specific creature, as the previous designs had, we created a woodland environment as a backdrop. This scene was then populated with various creatures, flora and fauna which changed colour for each size in the range. Rather than previous designs which had been symmetrical (to highlight the fact the Thrive’s snowboards are true-twin) this version was a single scene covering the entire length of the board.

   

  One of the most interesting aspects of this design was the use of semi-transparent ink on the trunk of the tree, which allows the viewer so see the texture of the board’s wooden core through it, providing a connection between the graphics and the construction of the snowboard.
