We created a design for Thrive’s debut snowboard that was highly detailed, drawing influence from the shapes of the brand logo. It evolved from an original drawing of a robot into something far more abstract and totem-like; suggesting technological forms rather than describing a specific object.

A matte black pass gave the board a prestigious feel, adding depth to the design. The bold colours used offset the black to great effect. The board’s wood core showed through in several areas, as the construction became an integral part of the design.
